HOW THE CO-OP WORKS

A community held by agreements, not just intentions.

Everyone who enters agrees to how we hold the space. These are the agreements that make it possible.

AGREEMENT ONE

Everyone belongs here

Anti-carceral, anti-oppressive, and built for people the mental health system has historically failed.

Solidarity over saviorism

AGREEMENT FOUR

We don't fix people here. We build the net together — provider and community member, clinician and peer.

No hierarchy of suffering

AGREEMENT TWO

Clinician voice and lived experience voice sit at the same table. No one's perspective is more valid because of credentials — or despite them.

AGREEMENT FIVE

Specificity over relatability

We say real things plainly. No performed empathy, no vague affirmations. Just honest language about hard things.

AGREEMENT THREE

The conversation is ongoing

This community is not a product. It's a practice. It changes as we learn, and we're honest when we get something wrong.

AGREEMENT SIX

Community is the infrastructure

The net we're building here is the point. When one strand fails, another catches you. That's what we're making.

Cute Idea. Where's the evidence?

Turns out, connection isn't just nice to have.

Research across peer support, social connection, loneliness and recovery suggests that relationships can meaningfully shape mental health and wellbeing.

Meet Our Team

Please enjoy our obligatory collection of professional headshots.

Behind them are clinicians, peers, facilitators, and actual human beings with opinions, bad days, good ideas, and varying relationships with their inboxes.

These are the people building the Co-op.

Meet The Founder

Ryan Lennon is a nurse practitioner, advocate, and founder dedicated to transforming mental health care through community, connection, and lived experience. Having navigated her own diagnosis of bipolar disorder, Ryan brings a profoundly human perspective to her work, viewing her personal journey not as a liability, but as vital insight into where the current mental health system falls short. With years of experience in the healthcare field—spanning direct patient care, suicide prevention crisis counseling, and systemic health initiatives—she is on a mission to shift care away from reactive crisis management toward proactive, community-based healing. Ryan speaks on the power of coregulation, destigmatizing mental health and building sustainable, foundational wellness. Her work is guided by a simple core mission: healing through community, generosity, and meaningful specifics.
